Wu-Tang Clan – Freestyle Tapes Vol. 1-3

Major, Major props to Ivan & Co. at HHIR.  They just posted 3 volumes of Wu-Tang Freestyles.  Some I had, others are rare gems.  You’ve got Meth, Ghost, Rae, RZA, GZA, ODB but some Gravediggaz and Wu affiliates as well.  This may take up my whole weekend to listen to it all. Agan, take a moment to visit HHIR and then download to your HD explodes (IT pause). Tracklistings after the jump! Follow me on twitter:  twitter.com/djfranchise

Raekwon & Ghostface – Wild Tour Story

Raekwon and Ghostface give a vivid and explicit story of a tour incident that could’ve landed them in jail a long time ago. Their descriptions and facial expressions had me crackin up in my chair. Enjoy the storytellers do their thing. Props to 247hh.

Ghostface Interviews from around the Web

Ghostface has been doing alot of promo for this Ghostdini album. In the video after the jump, he explains directly to his fans who this albumis for and why he did it – DFLO pay attention to that one. Also, I added a third video of his from XXL about his “pen game” (pause) and why his lyrics are so vivid. This dude always makes great interviews. Shouts to RR, NR, and 247HH for the links.

Raekwon – Wax Poetics Interview

raekwon

Raekwon sits with Wax Poetics to talk about his classic first solo album.  This is probably the most in-depth discussion I’ve seen from Shallah Raekwon about the creation and themes of Cuban Linx. If you thought you knew the Purple Tape, this interview will give you some new insight. If anything it’ll make you wanna buy 2 more copies of OB4CL2.  Full interview after the jump,

GhostfaceKillah – MJ Tribute/Can It Be All So Simple

Ghostface runs through some of his favorite Michael Jackson songs then busts into “Can It Be All So Simple Then”. Crowd goes crazy. I almost dropped the camera. Feel free to sing along at your computer.

Ghostface Killah – Wu-Tang Medley (live)

Ghostface rips through some Wu classics at the Mezzanine in San Francisco which brought the crowd to a fervor. This is a video for the ages. I’ll put the MJ tribute up in a few days.

Method Man & Redman – City Lights (live)

Last night, I got a free pass to go see Method Man and Redman live at the Mezzanine. I was actually more excited to see Ghostface live, who was opening up for them. More footage of him and Duo Live is on its way. Now, if I am putting up City Lights and it wasn’t even their best song, then you know they brought some heat to the audience. San Francisco represented with their energy and Mef & Red definitely reciprocated. All aspiring rappers – take a note on how your energy rocks the crowd.

Raekwon – House of Flying Daggers

raekwon-onlybuilt4cubanlinxptii1-450x420

J Dilla produced this track and was able to catch RZA’s sound masterfully.  Rae says that this beat was made especially for him, even though we’ve heard it before. If this is what we can expect from the album, I think it’ll meet expectations.  Its not super outstanding but its better than listening to Gucci Mane and whatever else is on the radio.  (Yes, I know this is late but I have had a tough week.  I am coming back, I promise!)

Wu-Tang Clan – Lego Edition

<

For those that know me, you know I love Legos. And when the Star Wars Legos came out for the PS2 and Wii, I went crazy. Now to see my fav hip-hop group of all time in Lego form – I believe in God now. Spotted at NR.  “MY people where you at?”
