NEW RZA “Six Directions of Boxing”

he latest leak from the RZA-assembled The Man With The Iron Fists soundtrack is the most anticipated off the loaded album: a (nearly) full Wu-Tang Clan posse cut.

Like previous offerings ‘Tick, Tock’ (by Pusha T, Raekwon, and Joell Ortiz) and ‘Black Out’ (by Ghostface Killah, Pharoahe Monche, and M.O.P.), ‘Six Directions of Boxing’ is another slice of “Morricone meets RZA” with a star-studded line-up.

Predictably, it’s always a treat to hear the Clan assembled (even if Method Man is MIA). The soundtrack arrives on October 23 via RZA’s Soul Temple Records. The film, which stars Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu, will follow on November 2.

Here is a mix that I made to pay homage to one of my favorite producers., Easy Mo Bee. I didn’t want to consider this a “best of” but felt that it was a strong representation of his work. This mix is also dedicated to a good friend of mine, Matthew Africa, who passed last month. He encouraged me to make this mix and provided some great ideas. As usual, this a one take mix. LRG teamed up with the Beat Junkies to produce a short documentary to commemorate the crew’s 20th year anniversary. As a DJ, much of how turntablism has evolved has been from how the Skratch Picklez took the world by storm and then how the Beat Junkies carried the torch. Seeing these men in action, is like watching the Avengers in real life. A true inspiration to all creatives, I am glad to see the Beat JUnkies shine in this vid. #salute
